PRODUCTION HISTORY
MIDWEST
PORN
In Midwest Porn, students at St. Mary’s Elementary School are preparing for Confirmation, but fourth-grader Beatrice and her coterie threaten to boycott the ceremony due to their beef with Catholicism. At the same time, low enrollment, a nascent adult entertainment industry, and an infestation of turtles threaten the very survival of the school.

THE
LEVERET
In The Leveret, Spanish Franciscan Friar and architect Antonio Cruzado designs and builds Los Angeles’ San Gabriel Mission using the enforced labor of the Gabrielino Tongva people. Wrestling with his calling to create a sacred sanctuary and the subjugation of the Native builders, Cruzado must contend with his spiritual imperfection and desire to achieve aesthetic perfectionism.

HOW IS IT THAT WE LIVE or
SHAKEY JAKE
+ ALICE
AN EPIC LOVE STORY featuring two lifelong lovers, who move in and out of each other's lives and are joined by two mysterious narrators who weave their own mystical tales. Shakey Jake and Alice are just two human beings, who are born, die, live, love, get lost, get found. Jenkins' tale serves up live music, a lot of get down, and maybe, a little magic.

TINA HOWE'S LAST PLAY tracks the journey of Zilla, a recently widowed New Yorker whose seemingly mundane daily routine is broken up by a visit to a dermatologist when an herb garden begins to sprout from her legs. She meets her friend at her new favorite lunch spot: Subway. Final stop, a mesmerizing street vendor, fixated by the city’s pageantry of plurality.
The play features spontaneous group singing, bizarre food, a zither, a silent man wearing a parachute, and an awakening from absurdity to abundance, kindness to connection.
